What is published here

ToolzKit hosts no user uploads and no user-generated content. Every page is written and maintained by the site operator, and tool input is processed in your browser without ever being stored or published. In practice this means an infringement claim will concern written content, wording or design on a page rather than a file someone uploaded.

Sending a notice

Send your notice by email to info@toolzkit.online with 'Copyright notice' in the subject line. To be actionable, a notice should include all of the following:

• ·Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
• ·Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, with a link to the original if it is online.
• ·The exact URL or URLs on toolzkit.online where the material appears, and a description of the specific passage or element concerned.
• ·A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
• ·A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
• ·Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

Valid notices are reviewed promptly. Where a claim is well founded, the material is removed or amended, usually within a few business days, and you will be told what was done. Where a claim is unclear, we will come back to you with questions rather than acting on an incomplete notice.

Because there is no user-uploaded content, there is normally no third party to notify. If a contributor is involved, they will be informed of the notice and given the opportunity to respond.

Counter-notice

If material of yours was removed and you believe the removal was mistaken or the use was lawful, send a counter-notice to the same address. It should identify the removed material and its former location, state under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, give your contact details, and include your signature.

Misuse of this process

Copyright notices carry legal weight. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation — claiming infringement where none exists, or filing a bad-faith counter-notice — can expose you to liability for damages and legal costs. Please be sure of your claim before sending it.

Repeat infringement

In appropriate circumstances, access will be terminated for anyone who repeatedly infringes the copyright of others. Given the site's structure, this policy applies primarily to any future contributor arrangements.

Fair use and quotation

Short quotations from ToolzKit guides for review, teaching or commentary, with clear attribution and a link back, are welcome and do not require permission. Wholesale republication of guides or tool descriptions does, and will be treated as infringement.
