About ToolzKit

ToolzKit is a digital utility workspace: 52 small, single-purpose tools that do one job quickly and then get out of the way. Format a payload, decode a string, generate a credential, work out a percentage — the things that interrupt real work several times a day.

Why it exists

Most of these utilities already exist somewhere on the web, but they are usually buried under advertising, gated behind a sign-up, or slow enough that opening a terminal is faster. ToolzKit was built around the opposite trade-off: load fast, work immediately, keep the interface dense enough that everything you need is on one screen, and never ask who you are.

The second reason is trust. Pasting a configuration file or an API response into a random website means handing that content to someone else’s server. Wherever a task can be done with the browser’s own APIs — and for the overwhelming majority of these tools it can — the work happens in your tab and the data never leaves your device.

Who it is for

  • Developers debugging a payload, reformatting a query, testing a pattern or generating a fixture.
  • Writers and editors counting words, cleaning up a messy paste, comparing two drafts or fixing inconsistent capitalisation.
  • Marketers building campaign links, drafting meta tags and turning headlines into clean URL slugs.
  • Everyone else who occasionally needs a percentage, a date difference, a colour conversion or a QR code.

Product principles

  1. 01 Every tool works. Nothing is a mock-up, and nothing is marked “coming soon”.
  2. 02 Local by default. If a task can run in the browser, it does.
  3. 03 Honest about limits. Each tool page states what it cannot do as clearly as what it can.
  4. 04 No account, no lock-in. Your favorites and recent tools live in your own browser storage and can be cleared at any time.
  5. 05 Keyboard first. The command palette opens with a single keystroke from anywhere on the site.
